The Art of Advanced Sewing Specializations gives students an opportunity to focus on one specialization or continue to pursue their niche or avenue of interest in garment making. Students create whole garments from commercial patterns or Soul Collection's custom-made patterns. This course is a springboard to help students generate ideas in creating their own line if they so desire. Students can choose their desired specialization in the month being offered to further their educational experience. Such details may include Lining & Interfacing, Stitching Techniques, Lace & Trimming Details all dependent on the student's choice of study & pattern. *Advanced Tailored Jacket Specialization

The Tailored Jacket is a an Elegant Art in to the Advanced Sewing Specializations. This class takes some of the traditional tailoring techniques and interweaves it into the commercial patterns for that clean-cut tailored appearance. Students will learn how to Muslin Fit to their Body Size, Construct Details, which include Interfacing, Shaping, Lining, Buttonholes & Stitching Techniques.

HOW TO TAKE MEASUREMENTS - SEE RED LINES

Students get to choose 1 selection from Creative Skirt Downloadable Patterns adjusted to their measurements for a custom-fit. This online class provides students with access to the Live Chat Classroom at the start date of the course along w/remaining chat sessions to guide students in the assembling & sewing of their skirts. There is approximately 8-10 hours work time students should plan for in order to complete their skirts within the 4 weeks & Last Chat. Students will receive instructions upon registration to find the perfect fabrics, linings, notions, trims (subject to pattern design) & list of supplies needed prior to class start date. Students must provide their "true" height, bust, waist & hip measurements in order for their custom patterns to be printed upon class registration.
