Creative Patternmaking Design is for serious students interested in furthering their studies in the Art of Flat Patternmaking to Design Patternmaking allows students to use the Basic Slopers & knowledge they've learned previously in The Art of Basic Patternmaking to create design patterns, using this foundational system & basis for developing additional patterns for misses & women's Wear.
Students will create a variety of Skirt Patterns consisting of Pleated & Inverted Pleats, Yoke & Godet Skirts, Wrap, Raglan Sleeve, Shawl Collar & Notched Collare Tops & a Jumper. Students will use the principles they learn to design a two-piece outfit as their final project correcting the pattern according to fit & balance, cutting & sewing into a final fashion fabric sample. (Sewing is recommended, however not necessary, students can pin pieces together.)
*BONUS* Students will learn how to draft the Knit Pattern in Creative Patternmaking Design Level 11.
