"Students learn to sew clothing from Level 11 to Level 111 Intermediate 4 Session 2 Hours each Session Program making a Clothing with either Soul Collection's New Easy to Sew Patterns or a range of McCalls, Butterick, Vogue, Simplicity, New Look, or Burda Sewing Patterns just to name a few. Students will learn how to read the Sewing Pattern, adjust the Fit accordingly, learn the correct Fabric Pattern Layout and transfer the sewing pattern markings onto the fabric.
Then students move on to sewing 1 project of their choice, which includes either a Classic Tailored Pant with 1 welt Pocket, a Skinny Pant, a simple Jean, a Lined Skirt, a Pencil Skirt, a Romper with Pockets, Dresses or a Top with or without a collar. Students learn to sew the Lapped Zipper or the Centered Zipper Application, Fuse Pattern Pieces, or learn to sew a Waist Facing or Waistband. Students can also continue to take Intermediate Sewing Classes to master all Silhouettes. Homework assignments required.
Soul Collections is expanding into a Bigger Sewing Space on Bedford Ave Opening this month in October with 6 New Computerized Sewing Machines, Fabric, Sewing Supplies, Table Space, Cutting Tables and Irons. There will be extra Sewing Lab hours for students to create their designs @ their leisure. Sewing Lab hours are only $10 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours for a limited time only, so sign up quick to reserve a Computerized Sewing Machine! "
