Beginner’s Sewing Classes

New to sewing? Start here! Learn essential sewing skills through hands-on practice at Soul Collection’s Sewing Lounge. No experience is needed, and fabric, materials, and sewing machine use are included, just bring your enthusiasm!

Before you book

Attendance at the first session is especially important because that’s when all sewing machine instruction takes place.

Choose your class series

Each session is 2 hours. Choose your preferred dates and time on the schedule. 

Four-session series: $150
Selected three-session series: $112.50

Tuesday classes: 11am–1pm
Wednesday classes: 6–8pm
Thursday classes: 6–8pm
Saturday classes: 11am–1pm

Please check every date in your selected series before registering, as some months have a shorter schedule.

What you’ll learn

Get comfortable using a sewing machine, from threading to controlling your stitching and sewing seam allowances. Put your skills into practice with the month’s project and create your own decorative pincushion.

Important: Attendance on the first day is essential, as all machine instruction happens then. Unfortunately, make-up classes are not available if you miss the 1st class, however, you can take the 2-Hour Intro to Sewing Workshop for an addtl course fee and come to your remaining scheduled classes. 

If you miss a class during the sessions, make-up opportunities may be available within the same month, primarily through my volunteer program. These options and more is gone over in the 1st class. 

There are no refunds unless the entire class is canceled. Please save your class dates and set reminders for your class day, as no additional notifications will be sent.
